Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is T.J., and I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in English at Syracuse University, with an especial focus on film, television, and popular culture, feminist and queer theory, women’s studies, and other related issues. I also teach academic writing to freshman and sophomore students.

This blog is a place for me to analyze, discuss, and critique current issues swirling around in the world, whether it be politics, activism, popular culture, and pretty much everything else about society and/or culture that catches my eye and intrigues me.

Before you go any further, you should probably know that I am a raving liberal, pro-gay, pro-choice, feminist, Marxist, socialist…you name a position on the Left, and I probably agree with it. Not, as some might say, because I’m a tool, but because I truly and honestly believe in the Progresive/Left/Liberal view of the world.

So, if I haven’t scared you away yet, feel free to take a look at my posts and, if you feel like it, drop me a line. I welcome comments of any time. I want to open up a dialogue, rather than just standing up here announcing my views. So, please, share a comment, even if you don’t agree.
